New CSI Moderator
BANGALORE, Jan. 17 2010 - The Rt. Rev. S. Vasanthakumar, Bishop of the Karnataka Central Diocese for the last 13 years, has been installed as the new moderator of the 
Church of South India.
Known as the "people's Bishop", The Most Rev. Vasanthakumar brings with him his vast experience in administration, stewardship of resources, all round development in ministry, and also in frequently representing the CSI church at various international levels.
He has introduced many innovative programmes in the Diocese. He has also evinced keen interest in bringing together all the Christian denominations in Karnataka under a single banner, namely Karnataka United Christians Forum for Human Rights.
Other new officers of the CSI Synod are: Rt. Rev. G. Devakadasham, Deputy Moderator; Mr. M. M. Philip, General Secretary; and Dr. Bennet Abraham, Treasurer.
